If you're using the RPWFE, take an extra step to save yourself a lot of money! Since our product doesn't contain a chip, you can simply replace your old chip with our new filter. This process is not complicated, because the chip is just placed in a groove of the filter element, and there is no circuit connection. Just tear off the sticker on the old filter element to take out the chip, and then replace it with a new filter element to cover the sticker and install it for normal use.
If You Have a Bypass Filter Plug
You Can Use This Method!
1. Find the Bypass Filter Plug: Your GE refrigerator came with a blank filter bypass plastic piece. (Some users found an RFID tag hidden on the back of this bypass.)
2. Peel Off the Label: Locate the sticker that says "BACK This side must face inward" and carefully remove it.
3. Extract the RFID Tag: Underneath the label, you’ll find the RFID tag—remove it.
4. Open the Filter Housing: Inside your fridge, open the water filter compartment.
5. Reposition the RFID Tag: Place the RFID tag over the "FCC" label inside the filter housing (near the screw). Secure it using the sticker you removed earlier.

Does FLGSK have a chip inside?
No, FLGSK doesn't come with a chip. But you can simply transfer the chip from your previous product and attach it to ours. It won't affect the usage at all.
How frequently should l change the refrigeratorfilter?
For clean, fresh tasting water, we recommend replacing your water filter every 6months or 300 gallons of water, whichever comes first.
How much water do you have to drain when you putin a new refrigerator water filter?
We recommend that you drain 1-2 gallons of water after replacing the filter with a new one.
If Water filter is not used for several months can I still use it or do I have to replace it?
Unopened and unused filters do not have a limited shelf life as long as they are stored in a dry location.
